Ayaan is not really defending the Imam. She is saying that this is what the Qaran says. She has denounced the Qaran, therefore she denounces everything and everyone who defends it. She is a very logical woman. That, in itself, is an outcrop of her upbringing. I have read "Infadel." She brings honor back to women. She should be the becon for women to stive toward. She is human and not perfect but in comparison to what we have passing for heroins now days, she is definately someone to admire.
